PM Lapid Speaks with the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

Prime Minister Yair Lapid spoke this evening, with the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During their conversation, President ErdoÄŸan congratulated Prime Minister Lapid and wished him success in his new role. Additionally, the President congratulated the Prime Minister on his very successful visit to Ankara.

The Prime Minister sent his best wishes to the President for a happy, peaceful, and prosperous holiday for the entire Turkish people.

Prime Minister Lapid thanked the President for the cooperation between their countries on thwarting attempted terror attacks against Israelis in Türkiye.

The two leaders emphasized that Israel-Türkiye relations are of great importance for security, the economy, and stability in the Middle East.

The two commended the new civil aviation agreement that was signed just a few days ago between their countries, and expressed hope for additional improvement in bilateral relations.
