Daesh claims responsibility for northern Iraq attack

Tehran, Dec 26, IRNA -- Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group has claimed the responsibility for the Tuesday car bombing in Tal Afar, Nineveh Province in northern Iraq.
The attack killed two people and wounded 11 others, The Iraqi Joint Military Command's security center earlier announced in a statement.
'The car exploded after it was stopped in the district of 'Ras al-Jadeh' in the outskirts of Tal Afar which killed two civilians and wounded 11 others', the statement reads.
According to French media, Daesh claimed the responsibility of the mentioned attack in its official media ' Amaq News Agency'.
The Tal Afar city has witnessed several terrorist bombings in recent months.
In late August 2017, the Iraqi Armed Forces liberated Tal Afar as the last base of Daesh terrorists.
Then the Iraqi Prime Minister announced the complete liberation of Nineveh province.
