Militia Leader Reported Killed In Baghdad
January 25, 2012
Reports from Iraq say a leader of a Sunni militia fighting Al-Qaeda militants has been killed in Baghdad.
Officials said Mullah Nadhum al-Jubouri died in a drive-by shooting in western Baghdad on January 24.
Postings on an Islamic extremist website celebrated Jubouri's death.
Before joining the pro-government group known as Awakening Councils, Jubouri fought U.S. troops alongside Al-Qaeda militants.
