  • UN/OIL FOR FOOD VOA 29 Nov 2004 -- Washington's ambassador to the United Nations has urged Secretary-General Kofi Annan to promptly release all information concerning the scandal-ridden Iraq oil-for-food program. The world body was rocked over the weekend by revelations that a key oil-for food contractor made regular payments to Mr. Annan's son.

Foreign Reactions

  • Coalition Partners Increase Support in Iraq AFPS 29 Nov 2004 -- Two coalition allies, Singapore and Denmark, have agreed to extend their countries' support for Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Japan is expected to follow suit in the weeks ahead. In addition, Denmark voted to increase its troop strength in Afghanistan and to extend their tour by six months.
