- IRAQ/WRAP VOA 13 Nov 2004 -- The assault on Fallujah by U.S. and Iraqi forces entered its fifth day on Saturday, with U.S. officials saying they are close to gaining complete control of the city. Meanwhile, the city of Mosul is still the scene of violence.
- U.S. And Iraqi Forces Continue Offensive In Al-Fallujah RFE/RL 13 Nov 2004 -- U.S. and Iraqi forces are continuing their offensive in the Iraqi insurgent stronghold of Al-Fallujah, west of Baghdad.
- U.S. Helicopters Attacked Near Al-Fallujah RFE/RL 13 Nov 2004 -- Four U.S. helicopters were hit by insurgent ground fire in two separate attacks near the Sunni stronghold of Al-Fallujah, as fighting there entered its fifth day.
- More Than 1,000 Insurgents Killed In Al-Fallujah RFE/RL 13 Nov 2004 -- Iraq's national security adviser says more than 1,000 insurgents have been killed and some 200 captured during the six-day military operation by U.S. and Iraqi forces in the rebel stronghold of Al-Fallujah.
- Iraq: Fears Of Humanitarian Crisis In Al-Fallujah As Fighting Enters Sixth Day RFE/RL 13 Nov 2004 -- Fighting has entered its sixth day in the Iraqi city of Al-Fallujah, as U.S.-led forces continue to clash with rebels in the insurgent stronghold. The U.S. military says the operation is going well and that it now controls some 80 percent of the city. But they are facing a revolt in another city, Mosul. And aid agencies are increasingly worried about the fate of civilians trapped by the Al-Fallujah fighting.
- VCIED Found and Destroyed Near Tikrit MNF-I/MNC-I 13 Nov 2004 -- First Infantry Division Soldiers discovered a vehicle concealed improvised explosive device (VCIED) near Tikrit at about 7:48 p.m., November 12. The Soldiers requested explosives ordnance support.
- Soldiers Committed to the Long-Term Success of Samarra MNF-I/MNC-I 13 Nov 2004 -- The Task Force 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Soldiers conduct a wide variety of missions in Samarra. Anything from patrols to Civil Affairs missions are fair game for the TF 1-26 Soldiers and they recently were given the added task of making sure the citizens of Samarra observe a curfew.
