- IRAQ/WRAP VOA 30 Oct 2004 -- In Iraq, the U.S. military says eight U.S. Marines were killed and nine wounded on Saturday. Also, seven people were killed and at least 16 wounded when a car bomb exploded outside the office of the Arabic television channel, al-Arabiyah, in Baghdad.
- Up To 16 Wounded In Baghdad Blast RFE/RL 30 Oct 2004 -- At least 16 people were injured when a powerful blast went off outside Al-Arabiya TV's offices in Baghdad today.
- U.S. Strikes Al-Fallujah As Talks Continue RFE/RL 30 Oct 2004 -- U.S. forces launched airstrikes against suspected militant bases in Al-Fallujah as they prepared for a major operation to root out insurgents in the Sunni Muslim stronghold.

- MNF, ISF Detain 22 During Operation Near Kirkuk MNF-I/MNC-I 30 Oct 2004 -- Multi-National Forces and Iraqi Security Forces detained 22 individuals during a joint operation near Kirkuk on Oct. 29 at about 11:30 p.m.
- MNF Detains Two, Including Suspected Fallujah Operative MNF-I/MNC-I 30 Oct 2004 -- Soldiers from 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) detained two people wanted for anti-Iraqi activities and foiled a roadside bomb attack Oct. 29 in northern Iraq.

Foreign Reactions
- JAPAN/IRAQ HOSTAGE VOA 30 Oct 2004 -- Officials in Tokyo say a body found north of Baghdad is unlikely to be that of a Japanese hostage who has been threatened with execution. Several hours earlier, the government had said that the body resembled that of Shosei Koda.
