- COALITION FORCES STRIKE TWO SURFACE-TO-AIR MISSILE SITES 10 Nov 2002-- In response to Iraqi hostile acts against Coalition aircraft monitoring the Southern No-Fly Zone, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target two surface-to-air (SAM) missile sites near Tallil, approximately 175 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strike occurred at about 2:15 p.m. EST.
