Tehran (ISNA) – "Damavand" frigate will return to Iran Navy fleet in the Caspian Sea, Iran's Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami announced.

Brigadier General Amir Hatami told reporters on Monday, "Damavand frigate which was destroyed due to severe marine weather will soon rejoin Navy fleet".

"A new Damavand has been built in a very shorter period and in less than a quarter of the lengthy time in previously took to be built," he added.

Answering a question about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks that Iran has given its long-range and precision-guided missiles to Yemenis, Hatami said, "Yemenis are intelligent, resistant and strong. What they've shown until this day was their own innovation. Iran's aid to Yemen is limited to advisory support".
