Tehran (ISNA) – Iran's Armed Forces spokesman emphasized that the country will continue to strengthen its defensive power.
In reaction to some Western media reports claiming that Iran has started negotiations on its missile program with the Europeans, deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri said, "Iran continues to strengthen its defensive power and no one has the right to start dialogue on Iran's missile defense system with the foreigners".
"No one can decide instead of the nation. Enemies do not have the right to interfere in this area, which remains a national domain," he added.
"In the current circumstances which domineering regimes are constantly threatening and intimidating the Islamic Republic of Iran while they are conducting war crimes in the region, the armed forces have to strengthen the defense capabilities in all fields including the missile systems," General Jazayeri went on to say.
