Iran missile power source of national pride: Comdr

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Bushehr, June 20, IRNA -- Missile power possessed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a source of national pride for the country, says commander of the Second Naval Zone of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps.

General Ali Razmjou made the remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with IRGC commanders and managers in the southern province of Bushehr.

General Razmjou praised the recent missile attack on Daesh (ISIS) command centers in Syria, describing the move as a source of pride for the Islamic Republic.

Launching mid-range missiles from the IRGC bases in Kordestan and Kermanshah to target Daesh positions in the city of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria was just part of the force's crushing response to the June 7 terrorist attacks in Tehran, he said.

"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has always used all in its capacity to defend the Islamic Republic," he said.

The IRGC, during the past four decades, has demonstrated that it is a true guardian of the Islamic Revolution, General Razmjou added.
