Iran's strong presence safeguards Caspian Sea security: Navy Comdr

Gorgan, Golestan prov, March 7, IRNA -- Iran's pivotal role is the main factor in maintaining stability and security in the Caspian Sea, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said.
He made the remarks in Tuesday ceremony for signing an MoU between the Iranian Navy and Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
"All Caspian Sea Littoral States know that establishing cooperation and interaction with Iran will increase security in this region," he said.
"By fostering cooperation, these countries can prevent piracy, human and drug trafficking and also environmental pollution," he said.
Sayyari pointed to Iranian Navy's power, saying that the Force is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies.
