Iran naval ships dock at Pakistan's Karachi port

Islamabad, Sept 27, IRNA -- An Iranian naval fleet docked at the Pakistani port of Karachi on Tuesday to convey the message of peace and friendship.
Pakistan navy senior officer Commodore Mushtaq welcomed the four Iranian naval ships.
A military helicopter carried by 'Lavan' navy ship is also part of the fleet.
The Iranian fleet includes Lavan, Khanja, Falakhan and Konarak navy ships.
Earlier, Pakistan's top navy official had said that the navy was 'eagerly waiting' for the arrival of Iranian naval ships for a goodwill visit to Karachi port in a few days.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA on sidelines of a ceremony hosted by Iran embassy to commemorate 'Scared Defence Week' in Islamabad, Vice Admiral Sohail Masood, said that four navy ships of Iranian army were coming in few days.
'We have a system that we always have an exercise when they (Iranian navy) come to Pakistan or we go to Iran,' he said.
"We are very anxiously waiting for that. Navy groups of Pakistan and Iran regularly visit each other's ports for goodwill and exchanging experience," he said.
