Leader stresses need for Islamic Iran to enjoy defense might

Tehran, March 30, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei stressed the need for further reinforcement of defense might of the country.
Addressing a meeting with religious eulogists (Maddahan) here on Wednesday, he said anybody who says the future of the world is not a missile-oriented one is either an ignorant person if he utters these words out of ignorace or a traitor if he speaks knowingly.
He said it is wrong for people to say that the world's future should focus only on negotiating not missiles.
The Supreme Leader stressed that the Islamic system will certainly have to retreat from its postions against any petty country which would threaten it if it lacks defense power.
The Ayatollah said that enemies are working to undermine Islamic principles, faith in efficiency of the Islamic system and belief in its survival.
