Iran Army destroys hypothetical enemy's surveillance drones in military drill

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Army Ground force hit and destroyed the surveillance drones of the hypothetical enemy on the final day of a military exercise dubbed 'Baitulmuqaddis 27.'

The force also used 'Sahand' shoulder-fired missiles to hunt the enemy's drones in Isfahan, central Iran.

The drones of Iranian Army Air Force joined the event to provide security and safety of the operations.

Also infantry, mechanized, armored, artillery units, special forces and special units artillery and Air Force fighters participated in the military drill.

The operation started with an attack by the hypothetical enemy, and armored and mechanized units backed by the Ground Force artillery started firm defense measures.

Optimized scorpion tanks, anti-helicopter launchers, Akhgar six-barreled machine guns and BM Gewehr 3, the last one build by Iranian Ground Force, were used in the drill.

The Ground Force drone units took pictures from positions of the hypothetical enemy and sent the information to the maneuver command headquarters online.

A home-made 7.62 mm sniper weapon with the range of 800 meters and capability of destructing enemies and light equipment was used as well.
