Supreme Leader: Iranians not to tolerate talks under threats

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, May 6, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the Iranian nation will not stand going into negotiations while being threatened.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks here on Wednesday when addressing a meeting with a group of teachers from across the country.

The meeting took place on the occasion of the National Teacher's Day.

The Ayatollah stressed that the US need for nuclear talks is not less than Iran's if not more.

Ayatollah Khamenei said he will not support any negotiations which are undertaken under threats.

He advised the Iranian nuclear negotiators to carry on with their task while observing all red lines but not surrender to threats, imposition or humiliation.
