IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Dec 16, IRNA -- A senior lawmaker said Sunday that Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are both satisfied with the outcome of the latest nuclear talks held in the Iranian capital.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the remarks while talking to IRNA.

Although the two sides- Tehran and the IAEA- were satisfied with the outcomes of the negotiations, the US ratified new sanctions against the country, he said.

Boroujerdi reiterated that those sanctions are not within the framework of the UN Security Council regulations.

The parliamentarian said the US imposed ban on Iran due to its hostile policies against the Iranian nation.

He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has turned those sanctions into opportunities.
