Iran unveils two national helicopters

Kish Island, Hormuzgan province, Dec 11, IRNA -- Iran on Tuesday unveiled two national helicopters.

Defense Minister Brigadier-General Ahmad Vahidi unveiled two national helicopters in Kish Island.

The two helicopters, the first in half-heavy dimension class 'Panha 1' and the second in the light dimension class 'Panha 2' have been unveiled in the Sixth National Exhibition of Iran's Aerospace and Space industry Capabilities in Kish Island.

Iran's Helicopter Logistic and Renovation Company has supported, planned and manufactured the two helicopters with the help of professors from Isfahan Industrial University.

The two national helicopters: 'Panha 1' in a medium passenger class has 14 seats, but, 'Pnaha 2' the light class has eight seats for passengers.

The helicopters are designed for logistical purposes and military operations as well.

Vahidi also introduced another half-heavy class 'ST-214' helicopter in the exhibition which carries 20 passengers.
