Navy commander: Iran sets new record in production of naval defensive equipment

Bandar Abbas, Nov 29, IRNA -- Navy commander Admiral Habibollah Sayari said on Thursday that the Islamic Republic of Iran has set a new record in mass production of naval defensive equipment.
Speaking to IRNA, he said production of various warships and destroyers has increased five folds in recent months which is very significant.
Production of new defensive products has provided a defense shiled at international level, said the commander.
Manufacture of new defensive products with reliance on domestic forces has thwarted all threats posed by trans-regional forces stationed in the Persian Gulf region, he said.
Powerful Iranian naval forces closely monitors all movements in the Persian Gulf and spare no efforts to defend the country's territorial integrity, he said.
Iranian naval forces on Thursday demonstrated their military might as well as their combat readiness in the presence of their commander.
