Jazayeri: Iran's navy revealed its strategic role in trans-regional developments

Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA -- Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri on Wednesday said that the Iranian naval forces have revealed their strategic role and capabilities in trans-regional developments.
Powerful presence of Iranian Navy in international waters indicates Iran's strategic capacities in trans-regional developments, he said.
Addressing a group of naval forces on the occasion of "Navy Week" he said protecting Iran's interests in international waters has been entrusted to the Iranian Navy which enjoys unique status to this effect.
Iranian naval forces have exercised vigilance and played a key role in trans-regional waters to properly demonstrate Iran's might, he said.
Open Seas belong to all nations and the Iranian naval forces help maintain security of troubled region such as the Gulf of Aden, he said.
Convergence and solidarity between the Iranian army and IRGC naval forces who are under command of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have strengthened their capacities and capabilities in carrying out their duties, he said.
The Iranian Armed Forces are conquering peaks of success and development with reliance on its committed and pious personnel, Jazayeri said.
