He reiterated that according to the treaty, all countries should annihilate their nuclear weapons.

Certain countries possess some 20,000 warheads, by which half of the Earth can be destroyed, he said, adding that a large number of warheads are possessed by the US.

Condemning the violation of human rights in the world, Mehmaparast said hundreds of thousands of civilians and innocent people have so far been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan by the so-called advocates of human rights.

The bullying powers claim that terrorism should be countered, he said, adding that the Iranian nation is a victim of this omen phenomenon.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in stability and security of the Persian Gulf region, he said, reiterating that creating tension in the region would lead to conflicts among the regional nations and the military interference of the bullying regimes in domestic affairs of the regional states.

He further underlined the need for withdrawal of foreign forces from the Persian Gulf and Mideast regions.

On Iran-Serbia relations, he said there are great potentials in both countries that pave the way for further expansion of all-out ties between the two nations.

Lauding Serbia's appropriate infrastructures, Mehmanparast called for boost in bilateral economic cooperation.

Referring to Iran and Turkey as two major regional countries, he said the two nations enjoy strategic relations based on several commonalties.

Tehran and Ankara share identical views regarding many world developments, he said, adding, however, the two nations have some differences in views regarding the latest developments in Syria. Such differences would be settled through exchange of views and negotiations, he noted.

Praising recent reforms made by the Syrian government, he said such reforms are supported by majority of the Syrian people. Regional consultations particularly between Iran and Turkey would help resolve the existing problems in Syria, Mehmanparast stated.
