President Ahmadinejad’s remarks on nuclear rights get wide coverage

Islamabad, April 11 -- The remarks of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that Iran will defend its rights received wide coverage in almost all Pakistani newspapers on Wednesday.

Daily ‘Dawn’ quoted President Ahmadinejad as saying “Whoever wants to violate the rights of the Iranian nation will be dealt a blow to the mouth.”

“We have as much hard currency as we need and the country will manage well, even if we don’t sell a single barrel of oil for two or three years,” President Ahmadinejad said.

Daily ‘The News’ in its headline said Iran can withstand several years of oil sanctions. The newspaper reported that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that Iran has enough funds to withstand a total embargo on its oil sales for years.

“The Nation”, in its story said that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a speech in the southern province of Hormuzgan has said, “Whoever wants to violate the rights of the Iranian nation will be dealt a blow to the mouth so bad they will forget the path to their homes.”

The newspaper ‘Express Tribune’ reported that Iran will defend its rights and has enough cash to survive western economic sanctions, said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Ahmadinejad said Iran would overcome the obstacles the West has put in its way and had an economy able to withstand the sanctions.

‘Daily Times’ reported that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said Iran will defend its rights.

“We have enough foreign currency so that, even if one barrel of oil is not sol for two or even three years, the country will be managed well and the enemies will not see their wishes (come true),” he added.

Daily Statesman in its headline said that Iran can stand oil blockade. Quoting President Ahmadinejad the report said that Iran has enough funds to withstand a total embargo on its oil sales.

“We must say to them that we have that much saved that even if we didn’t sell oil for two to three years, the country would be managed easily,” said Ahmadinejad during a visit to Hormuzgan province.

Dunya news channel reported that Iran will defend its rights and has enough cash to survive western economic sanctions.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has expressed these thoughts ahead of crucial talks with world powers.

Samaa news channel quoted President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying that Iran has enough funds to withstand a total embargo on its oil sales for two to three years.
