China demands Iran to release kidnapped Chinese ship and crew

Beijing, April 6, IRNA -- China has demanded Iran to release a kidnapped Chinese ship and its crew in the waters near Iranian coast.

News sources in Beijing said here that a Chinese ship has been kidnapped somewhere close to Iran south east territory in the Oman Sea on Friday morning.

According to China International Radio report, Chinese embassy in Tehran had confirmed that a cargo ship named “ Xiang Hua-Men” was kidnapped by pirates in waters close to Iran.

The embassy contacted Iranian officials and requested release of Chinese vessel and its crew.
