Iranian official: Sanctions will not change fundamental positions

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Asghar Khaji said sanctions would not change Iranian nation's fundamental positions.
Khaji who has departed for Sweden met with first deputy Speaker of Swedish parliament Susanne Eberstein, stressing sanctions would never change Iranian nation's fundamental positions and that European countries should change their policies in this regard.
The two sides also discussed regional and international developments.
Khaji referred to Iran's nuclear issue, noting the country is ready to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy (IAEA) and that Iran has never broken the provisions of Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Khaji also referred to Iran's economic situation, noting the country's growth of GDP over the past year has been more than 3 percent and that the country's required needs are provided by Asian partners considering the recent increase of oil price and growth of national incomes.
He stressed the main disadvantages would be for the European companies.
Iranian official also expressed the country's readiness to initiate the new round of talks with p5+1.
