Supreme Leader appoints Shahroudi to head arbitration board

Tehran, July 25, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Monday appointed former Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Shahroudi to chair arbitration board to settle differences at the top three hierarchy of the executive, legislature and judiciary.

According to a decree, the arbitration board was set up in line with clause 7 of Article 110 of the Constitution.

In the meantime, the Supreme Leader appointed Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hassan Abutorabi, Seyyed Morteza Nabavi, Abbas ali Kadkhodaei and Seyyed Samad Mousavi as the members of the arbitration board for a five-year term.

The Supreme Leader assigned the body to ensure harmony among the three branches of government and settle the differences among the chiefs of the executive, legislature and judiciary.

The Supreme Leader obliged the chiefs of the three branches of government to exercise full cooperation with the arbitration board.
