TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Tuesday the country had informed the IAEA of installing new centrifuges.
"We will proceed to continue our activities with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) cooperation and the agency's officials are aware of our nuclear activities in details. They know thoroughly that our peaceful nuclear drive is moving forward," he told reporters in his weekly press conference.
"Our nuclear activities will be carried out with better pace and quality through using the centrifuges and they are monitoring the issue," he said adding, "this confirms Iran's successful move in its continuous nuclear activities."
Also regarding some Kuwaiti newspapers' report that Iranian embassy is coordinating for a meeting between Iranian and Saudi-Arabian officials, he said, "no new measure has been taken for Iranian officials' trip to Saudi Arabia."
He reiterated, "Tehran-Riyadh relations could be helpful. Iran and Saudi Arabia are two important countries and that broadening relations and easing misunderstandings can help the region."
Also regarding banning Iranian women soccer team from women's World Cup soccer tournament due to their Islamic veil and hijab, he said Iran would pursue the issue.
