Tehran, April 24, IRNA -- Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that the US should blames others for its illogical interventions in other countries' affairs.
He made the remark in response to the allegations made by US President Barack Obama on Iran’s alleged meddling in recent developments in Syria.
Speaking to the members of cleric faction of Majlis deputies, he said the US president on Saturday issued a statement accusing Iran of meddling in Syria's internal affairs.
Iran has not launched any military aggression on any country nor has it dispatched any forces to any country, he said, adding that Iran believes that all countres of the region should enjoy similar legal rights.
People of the region should administer their own affairs and this runs counter to the interests of bullying powers, he said.
In Egypt they tried to keep Mubarak in power but the Egyptian nation did not let them do so. Recent revolution in Egypt will attain its goal gradually, he said.
In Yemen the Americans created many obstacles while at the same time trying to blame others for their mistakes, Larijani said.
“We are against military intervention in other countries and it is a wrong concept that they can attain their goal through suppression and carnage of people,” he said.
“We are now witnessing very significant developments in the Middle East region, he said and advised people to exercise vigilance to thwart plots of the enemies,” Larijani said.
