Iran displays advanced army weapons

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran displayed advanced army weapons as it marked Army Day on Monday.
The army's units performed an air parade through fighters and parachute operations.
Army units displayed parts of the communication equipments with capability of radio communication in different bands and employment of portable wire-tapping sites equipped with the newest surveillance, interception, recording and control systems which are made by domestic defense industries to collect necessary information from the enemy's communication networks.
Modern, safe and sustainable equipment designed against the anti-electronic attacks were another part of the communicative capabilities of Iranian army which were included in the parade. The pieces of equipment were able to conduct technical missions in control and commanding systems, the ground sessions and navy and air defense.
"Zulfiqar" main battle tank and up-graded tanks named "Samsam" and "Chiften", "Katuyusha missile launcher" with 9 upgraded launching pads , as well as "Fajr" 5 (Dawn) 5 missile launcher, "Misagh" 2 (Promise) missile carrier were a number of other achievements displayed in the parade.
Displaying advanced radar system of "Matla'olfajr"(Beginning of Down) was other significant part of the parade done by the units carrying air defense system.
Long-range missile system and high-altitude optimized S-200 missile systems and advanced "Hawk"(Shahin) missile system were included in the parade as well.
