Iran to unveil new destroyer soon

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran's Navy Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said on Monday the country is to unveil a new model of destroyer in near future.
The destroyer dubbed "Velayat" is of already-made Jamaran destroyer class.
Sayyari's remarks came on Iran's Day of Army on April 18 as the army units performed massive parade.
He then referred to presence of Iranian army naval forces in high seas and said, "we do see all regional movements. We will be anywhere that high seas lie."
He said the measure seeks boosting friendly relations with regional countries and sending message of peace to them.
"Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is capable enough to provide its required capabilities."
