New cruise missile production line to be launched: Vahidi

Kermanshah, April 7, IRNA -- Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said here on Thursday that a new production line of cruise missile will be launched in the current Iranian calendar year.

Talking to IRNA, he added that some 180 defense systems were unveiled last year and the ministry will also implement different space, marine and electronic projects this year.

Asked about demining operations in Paveh, Kermanshah province, he also said that clearing mine-infested areas is one of the main concerns of the government in the field of providing security.

Vahidi is accompanying President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his third round of provincial tour of Kermanshah province.
