TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said the US is not satisfied with close relations of Islamic countries.
"The US, Zionist regime and those supporting their aims are always dissatisfied with Muslim countries' close relations. They are trying to sow discord among them to secure their own interests through putting interests of the Islamic World at risk," he told ISNA.
Mehmanparast also called for Muslim countries to keep vigilance and awakening towards the recent developments.
The Iranian official then criticized the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) for lack of any reaction on recent developments in Islamic states.
"All countries as well as regional and international organizations, particularly the OIC can have a more serious part in the issue," he said referring to popular protests in Bahrain, Libya and Yemen calling for them to back people.
"Measures should be taken to find peaceful approaches to hear people's voice and implement their demands."
