Air Force ready round the clock to defend Iran's air space

Tehran, March 19, IRNA -- Deputy Air Force Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Alavi said here on Saturday that his forces are ready round the clock to defend the country’s air space from any kind of probable threats.

Talking to IRNA, he said the Army’s Air Force is trying to promote its combat readiness rapidly due to the latest regional developments such as the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq as well as the presence of foreign forces in the Persian Gulf region.

Praising the performance of his forces in the field of manufacturing fighter planes, he announced that the Air Force experts have been successful in the mass production of Sa'eqe fighter planes.

He also lauded the Army’s performance in manufacturing strategic armaments, stressing that by making use of such armaments, the enemy can be targeted easily.

The Army has also been successful in the mass production of semi-cruise missiles in order to target the enemy’s vessels, Brigadier General Alavi said.

He further praised the Army’s achievements in the area of electronic warfares.

He reiterated that peace and friendship is the message of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force to all regional countries.
