No problem in operating Bushehr plant: Qashqavi

Tehran, March 2, IRNA – There is no obstacle on the way of putting into operation of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said on Monday.

Referring to the test operation of the Bushehr power plant, he said the plant will become operational soon.

Qashqavi stressed that both Tehran and Moscow are seriously determined to materialize the issue, adding that the plant will become operational at the due time.

Asked whether Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is going to mediate between Iran and the US, Qashqavi said Tehran made no request from him or any other official to do so.

On Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, the spokesman once again reiterated that all of Iran’s nuclear activities are under the direct supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) .
