Larijani: US approach at next G5+1 meeting a test for change
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA – Majlis speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that the US approach at the next meeting of Group 5+1 and the way it deals with Iran’s nuclear issue would be a test for change of Washington’s policy towards Tehran under President Barack Obama.
The five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany will meet in London on Monday to discuss the issue of Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.
Referring to the recent changes occurred in the US political scene after President Obama took office as the 44th president of the United States on January 20, Larijani said, “The dark age of George W. Bush’s administration required such a different atmosphere in order to bring the US out of that cursed era.”
Commenting on some teasing acts made by members of the European Parliament to remove the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) from the Europe’s list of terrorist organizations, Lrijani said such moves indicated that European politicians “lack the sense of time-appreciation and are trapped by the Zionists.”
Iran believes that the Zionist regime is to prevent Europe from playing an effective role in the region.
