Supreme Leader outlines general policies of fifth five-year plan

Tehran, Jan 10, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a letter on Saturday communicated the general policies of the fifth five-year economic development plan (2010-2015) to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The proposed plan has focused on implementing development and administration of justice in the society.
The envisaged plan includes 45 clauses dealing with cultural affairs, scientific and technological know-how, social affairs, economic, political, defense and security affairs, said the Supreme Leader in the message.
The full text of the Strategy Plan was concurrently sent to President Mahmoud Ahmadineajd, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi and Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
In the message, the Surpeme Leader said that it is expected that the Strategy Plan envisaged in the fifth five-year economic development plan (2010-2015) will help the country attain its economic targets in line with global developments.
"It is expected that the five-year economic development plan will help introduce a developed Islamic Iran based on promoting justice and Islamic values in handling the country's social and economic affairs," said the Supreme Leader.
"It is advisable that intellectuals and experts at universities and theological schools will play their key role in these affairs," said the Supreme Leader in the message.
