Iran's Navy powerfully defends marine borders: commander

A Navy commander said on Sunday that the Navy forces are present in the region in the most powerful manner to defend the country's sea borders.
Addressing a press conference, Rear Admiral Hossein Ashrafi said the Navy forces are currently safeguarding the country's interest and neutralize enemy's conspiracies through their active presence in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman and the Caspian Sea.
Referring to self-sufficiency of the Islamic Republic of Iran's defense industry, he said the Iranian armed forces are equipped with the most modern and sophisticated weapons.
The Iranian Navy is in full readiness to defend borders of the Islamic Republic by manufacturing and making use of all kinds of vessels, the commander reiterated.
