Iran-IAEA-Report
Rapporteur of Iran's Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kazem Jalali said on Friday that the 14th report of the UN nuclear watchdog's chief was the best evidence of the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities.
The International Atomic Energy Agency chief, Mohamed ElBaradei, presented his latest report on Iran's nuclear activities to the agency's Board of Governor last Wednesday indicating the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program.
The IAEA director reaffirmed that all activities of Iran's nuclear facilities were under the agency's surveillance and that there have been no indications of reprocessing related activities at those facilities.
"Confirming that Iran has not deviated from its peaceful nuclear activities indicates that Tehran is looking for a productive interaction and implementing international regulations," Jalali said.
He added that Iran's nuclear activities were completely clear and under IAEA's surveillance.
Commenting on the issue of the alleged studies raised in the report, the MP said it was all "fabricated."
"Iran has repeatedly announced that if there is any evidence on the alleged studies, it should be handed over to Tehran," Jalali said.
The US raised the alleged studies after Iran resolved all the outstanding issues with IAEA in the context of a Modality Plan signed by Iran and the UN nuclear agency last year.
The US is saying that there is a laptop as document to prove that Iran had carried studies to produce bomb and is refusing to hand over the laptop as an evidence saying that the data in the laptop will help Iran to achieve its goal.
The US says the laptop belongs to Iran, but, its data should not be revealed to Iran as evidence.
