Iran receives no secret letter from US

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi on Monday ruled out media report that President George W. Bush has sent a letter to Iran to normalize relations.
The media have quoted Israeli newspaper Haaretz that President George W. Bush has communicated with Iran to normalize relations.
Qashqavi said that the speculation aims to cover up US hostile policies against Iran.
Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, Qashqavi added, "We have received no secret letter and US continues its hostile measures against the Iranian nation."
The spokesman referred to the recent "unilateral imposition of sanctions" against a number of Iranian entities and individuals, noting this was the latest example of US hostility towards Iranians.
"This move has clearly proved baselessness of the show of unity among the Group 5+1 states and also baselessness of the claim that international community is against Iran's peaceful nuclear program," Qashqavi said.
