IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Sept 1, IRNA
Iran-Russia-Missile
Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said on Monday that Iran's technical and missile potential is fully based on scientific capabilities of its scientists.
Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he made the remarks in response to a question on whether Iran has recently bought any missiles from Russia.
Tehran will continue its defense capabilities within its frameworks and based on international rules and regulations, he added.
As to postponement of a visit to Tehran of Rosatom State Atomic Corporation of Russia Director Sergei Kiriyenko, Qashqavi said the main objective of his visit was to review issues related to the Bushehr power plant.
He added that the discussions on Bushehr power plant are technical and not political.
Qashqavi said that the process of putting into operation of Bushehr power plant still continues.
The issues related to the Bushehr power plant will be reviewed by Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Reza Aqazadeh and Kiriyenko in the future.
