Iran's missile capability is defensive, minister

Tehran, April 8, IRNA
Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najar said on Monday that Iranian missile capability is completely defensive and only against the aggressors.
Addressing senior staff members of the defense ministry, he termed the United States plan to set up missile base to deal with the so-called Iran's missile capability as deception.
"A country which has left behind eight-year US-imposed war (1980-1988), should have a deterrent defense power for guaranteeing national peace and security," Najar said.
He added the defense missile shield should be established in US and Israel, not in the other part of world, because they are directly or indirectly threatening different states by war.
"The US, for continuing its illegal presence in Middle East, is deceiving the public opinion by psycho war," he said, adding US wants to control the whole world by occupying Iraq, deepening the Lebanon crisis and supporting Tel Aviv regime.
He also announced the Islamic Republic readiness for establishing cordial ties with all the countries except Israel.
