Iran to continue nuclear activities based on IAEA regulations
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, April 5, IRNA
Iran would continue its peaceful nuclear activities within frameworks of the UN nuclear watchdog's regulations and its safeguards, government spokesman, Gholam-hossein Elham said on Saturday.
Iran got clean health bill from International Atomic Energy Agency on February 22.
Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, Elham said that Iran has so far informed the IAEA of all its nuclear activities.
He stressed that Iran had no decision to stop its peaceful nuclear activities and would never do so.
The spokesman added that Tehran would continue its efforts to meet its energy demands by generating 20,000 mega watt of nuclear energy.
Commenting on reports about releasing "good nuclear news on April 8", Elham expressed hope that the Iranian nation would be "informed of more nuclear achievements" on that day.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced April 8 as the National Nuclear Day for the country.
