IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, March 5, IRNA
Iran-President
Iran would no longer negotiate over its peaceful nuclear issue as it has become "normalized," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday.
"From now on, Iran peaceful nuclear program will be discussed only at the International Atomic Energy Agency within the framework of the NPT regulations and mutual commitments," the president stressed while speaking to reporter at the end of a cabinet session.
Noting that Iran believed the issue of its peaceful nuclear activities became "normal," President Ahmadinejad stressed "Iran would hold talks with all countries for mutual cooperation based on justice and mutual respect."
"As a powerful country, Iran would talk to other countries about issues such as disarmament, global security and economy and preventing tensions," the president stressed.
He added that no one from outside the IAEA has the jurisdiction over the nuclear program.
"The time is over now that some people used to show up and talk about Iran's nuclear issue," said the president.
