Iran-Nuclear-Larijani
A top Iranian nuclear official said here Wednesday that the third anti-Iran UN Security Council resolution, which was adopted in New York on March 3, showed the 'maniac' attitude of the US and its allies.
The Leader's Representative to the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani told IRNA on Wednesday, "Though the third (anti-Iran) resolution is non-binding, the road has been prepared for some mischievous efforts. The points should be investigated and studied with more prudence and care."
Larijani questioned the UN Security Council's double-standards in dealing with Iran and the Zionist Regime of Israel.
"At a time when Director General of a well-credited international organization (IAEA), Mohammed ElBaradei, assesses Iran's nuclear research and activities as 'positive' and emphasizes on the points in his report, why should the UN Security Council issue resolutions against Iran's peaceful nuclear activities rather than focusing on and condemning the Zionist Regime's crimes in massacring the Gazans?" asked Larijani.
The 'maniac gestures and obstinacy' by western communities only reveal Iran's victory and success in attaining an acceptable level of scientific progress. "Resistance and perseverance are the key to the victory," he added.
Addressing western states, Larijani said, "By nature, we are sincere but not foolish and can very well decide on our country's independence and grandeur."
He said the third resolution will fail this time too given the strong will and endeavor of the Iranian nation and government and the country will score further success.
