Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) for International Affairs Javad Vaeedi here on Tuesday said the UNSC resolution against Iran was a symbolic action in reaction to peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities which angered the US and its allies.
Their anger has forced them close their eyes to realities and logic, he said.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, he said the UNSC resolution indicated that the UNSC is weak in carrying out its duties which is restoration of peace and security round the globe.
The UNSC takes action against Iran while adopting a different approach in dealing with atrocities and crimes of the Zionist regime, he said.
UNSC's resolution 1806 regarded as repetition of mistakes of those have lost their credibility in global developments, he said.
Grave mistakes such as occupation of Iraq led to the sacking of former UK premier Tony Blair, he underlined.
The same fate is predicted for followers of Iraq's occupation in the upcoming presidential elections in the United States, he said.
Iranian nation and officials are determined to stay the course and never give up even one iota from their legitimate rights while continuing cooperation with IAEA, Vaeedi said.
