Government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham said here on Saturday that examining Iran's peaceful nuclear program at the UN Security Council is futile and an illegal act.
Talking to reporters, he said that the debate on Iran is gross violation of the Charter of the United Nations.
"The Security Council debate on Iran lacks legal justification," he said, in reference to the clean health bill Iran got from the International Atomic Energy Agency on February 22.
He said that the IAEA report is outcome of intensive work by Iran and the UN specialized agency for six months.
Elham said the country's peaceful nuclear case has been closed on the basis of the IAEA regulations and within the framework of the Action Plan.
"As confirmed by the IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei, all questions raised by the agency have been answered," he said adding that the report also "verified the non-diversion of Iran peaceful nuclear program".
The objective of Iran's peaceful nuclear program is to carry out peaceful scientific research studies, he added.
Elham advised the UN Security Council "to deal with Israeli regime which is the only threat to the global peace and security and to make decisions about Tel Aviv regime armed with nuclear weapons and atomic warheads".
Tehran believes that further action against Iran betrays their hatred towards the Iranian nation, he said adding, "Such measures are indications to their opposition to scientific and technical progress of the Iranian people."
Referring to Iran's nuclear activities as a transparent program, he said, "Iran's stand is based on aspiration of the Islamic Revolution and aimed at serving the world nations."
Elham further urged Washington to refrain from enmity towards the Iranian nation.
"As long as the Iranian nation continues with independent stand, such enmity would continue," he said adding, "There is no fear of such enmity and that the nation will never make a deal on its
independence."
