Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Sunday that the recent report issued by IAEA Chief Mohamed ElBaradei on peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities has created a tough situation for the US.
Addressing students in the University of Science and Technology, he said the report issued by 16 US intelligence agencies and ElBaradei's report have put seal of approval on peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, thus making American officials empty handed.
Iran is to follow up its proposed 14 articles plan on Iraq which was firstly raised in Istanbul conference, he said, adding that the country is to pursue the case in the upcoming conference in Kuwait.
The plan has called for withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq and sought avenues to help restore stability and security to Iraq, Mottaki said.
On US call for next round of talks with Iran on Iraq's security, Mottaki said the offer indicates that the US aggressive policies in Iraq are doomed to failure.
