ElBaradei report shows UNSC anti-Iran resolutions are wrong

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Feb 24, IRNA
Iran-Nuclear-Samareh
Iran's senior presidential advisor Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi said here Sunday that the IAEA Chief Mohamed ElBaradei's Iran report showed that the resolutions issued by UN Security Council have been totally wrong.

Samareh Hashemi told Kyodo news agency on the eve of his Japan visit that since the UN Security Council issued two resolutions against Iran based on wrong information, it was natural for the new IAEA report to prove the resolutions have been completely wrong.

He said the report findings prove that all statements of Iranian officials have been based on facts.

He added that the information Iran provided to the IAEA is also in line with the Agency findings.

The official insisted that Iran has answered all the IAEA questions regarding its nuclear program.

As for the Japanese student kidnapped southeast of Iran by a group of bandits, Samareh Hashemi said Iranian officials have been doing their best to secure his release.

He said terrorists have unfortunately transferred the student to a neighboring country.

He added that Iranian diplomats too have taken necessary actions to cooperate with the neighboring country in that connection.

Nakamura, a 23-year-old university student, was kidnapped by a group of bandits near the city of Bam in southeastern province of Kerman on October 7, 2007.
