Assembly polls results: Congress gets majority in Chhattisgarh; TRS sweeps Telangana

In 90-member Chhattisgarh assembly, 89 results have been declared. Congress has got majority by winning 67 seats and leading on 1 while BJP bagged 15 seats. BSP got two seat. JCC(J) has bagged five.

Chief Minister Raman Singh has won in Rajnandgaon constituency. State Congress President Bhupesh Baghel has won from Patan seat. Former Chief Minister and Janta Congress Chhattisgarh leader Ajit Jogi has won the Marwahi seat.

In 200-member Rajasthan Assembly, Congress has emerged as the single largest party winning 99 seats. while, BJP got 73. BSP won Six and RLD One. Independents have won 13 seats. Others have bagged 7. Election to Ramgarh seat was countermanded due to death of BSP candidate.

In Madhya Pradesh, 227 results have come in. BJP has won 107 seats and leading on two while Congress bagged 113 seats and is leading on 1. BSP got two seats while SP one. Independents bagged 4 seats.

In Telangana, TRS is going to form the government for the second time. The party won 88 seats out of the total 119 in state assembly. Congress bagged 19 and AIMIM 7 seats. BJP got one and TDP two seats.

Results for all 40 seats have also been declared in Mizoram where Mizo National Front has got clear majority by winning 26 seats followed by Congress 5, BJP one and Independent 8 seats.
