The Prototype Vehicle-II (PV-II) of the indigenously designed and developed Light Combat Aircraft `Tejas' made a successful maiden flight in Bangalore today.
The duration of the flight was 26 minutes, sources in India's Defence, Research and Development Organization (IDRO) said.
The vehicle was piloted by Wing Commander Vikaram Singh, who said the PV-II "behaved well" and was on expected lines.
Tejas was designed and developed by the city-based Aeronautical Development Agency.
