- Contract for Production of the M51 Weapon System EADS 23 Dec 2004 -- The DGA, the French armament procurement agency and EADS SPACE Transportation have signed a contract for the production of the M51 missile. To be designed and manufactured for the first time under the prime contractorship of EADS SPACE Transportation, this fixed contract covers series production of the M51 weapon system for a period of 10 years.
- Helios IIA in orbit: Alcatel responsible for the main part of new military observation satellite Thales 18 Dec 2004 -- The Helios IIA satellite was launched by an Ariane 5 on December 18, 2004 from the Guyana Space Center, in Kourou, French Guyana. The Helios II program is a second-generation military observation system developed by France in conjunction with Spain and Belgium, deploying two satellites in Sun-synchronous orbit.
- Launch of the new HAD version of the Tiger for Spain and France with the signing of the first contracts EADS 08 Dec 2004 -- These contracts were signed on behalf of the countries by the Director of the contracting authority, OCCAR, with the industrial partners Eurocopter Tiger (the Eurocopter subsidiary), MTR/ITP, SAGEM, and INDRA.

- Alcatel collaborates with prime contractor Thales on the Syracuse III ground segment Thales 02 Dec 2004 -- The French defense procurement agency DGA announced today that it has awarded Thales the contract for the construction of the Syracuse III ground segment. Alcatel Space, a subsidiary of Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA), is the main subcontractor to Thales for this project.

- CTA International Secures New Contract From UK MOD BAE Systems 16 Jun 2004 -- CTA International (CTAI), the BAE Systems and Giat Industries joint venture, has been awarded a contract from the UK MOD for a Manned Turret Integration Programme (MTIP).
- Thales, Giat Industries and Sagem consortium to develop BOA demonstrator Thales 15 Jun 2004 -- Following the announcement made by the French defence minister Ms. Michèle Alliot-Marie about the launch of the BOA (Bulle Opérationnelle Aéroterrestre) demonstrator, the major players in the French defence land systems industry have agreed to create a consortium to act as prime contractor for the programme.

- DCN and Thales create integrated Prime Contract Office for France's second aircraft carrier PA2 Thales 04 Jun 2004 -- DCN and Thales have decided to combine their strengths to propose to jointly lead the future French aircraft carrier programme (PA2), and have set up an integrated Prime Contract Office that will be placed under the responsibility of a jointly owned company.
- Thales and French Naval Academy sign training and R&D partnership Thales 26 May 2004 -- Thales, one of the world's largest professional electronics groups, and the Ecole Navale, the French naval academy, have decided to strengthen their cooperation by signing a partnership.
- Sagem and Capgemini win the SITEL BMS contract for battlefield digitisation Sagem (Safran group) 13 May 2004 -- Sagem, at the head a team formed with Capgemini France, has been awarded the SITEL BMS contract by the French procurement agency, DGA (Délégation Générale pour l’Armement). This contract covers the development, production and deployment of battlefield management systems (SITEL) for French Army units at sub-regimental levels.
- Eurocopter has Received DGA Military Certification and OCCAR Qualification For the Combat Support HAP Tiger Helicopter EADS 31 Mar 2004 -- The French Armament Agency DGA (Délégation Générale pour l’Armement), through its aircraft department SPAé (Service des Programmes Aéronautiques), has granted Eurocopter the military type certification for the HAP version of the TIGER combat helicopter on March 29th. In addition the European Organization for Joint Armament Cooperation OCCAR has granted the qualification for this helicopter version on March 30th.
- EURO-ART delivers first COBRA for French Forces EADS 25 Mar 2004 -- The Euro-Art consortium of Thales, EADS, and Lockheed Martin has delivered the first French COBRA (Counter Battery RAdar) Production System for the French Armed Forces.
- EADS Systems House is called for C3I System for the French Army EADS 23 Mar 2004 -- EADS Defence and Communications Systems has signed a contract with the French armaments procurement agency (DGA) to supply additional SIR (regimental information system) command and communication system order worth € 200 million.
- The French DGA has notified Sagem of the implementation contract for the FELIN future infantry soldier systems for the French Army Sagem (Safran group) 04 Mar 2004 -- The French procurement agency, DGA (Délégation Générale pour l’Armement) has recently notified Sagem of a one-billion dollar contract for the development, industrialisation and series production of the French future infantry soldier system (the French acronym FELIN stands for Fantassin à Equipements et Liaisons Intégrées).

- Sagem: successful Acceptance Test Flights for the French SDTI UAV Sagem (Safran group) 12 Jan 2004 -- The SDTI (Système de Drones Tactiques Intérimaire – Interim Tactical UAV System) which will equip the French Land Forces from mid 2004 and on, has completed its acceptance flight test campaign at the flight test centre of Istres (South of France). The system has performed, within the planned schedule, all the acceptance tests required by the French DGA.
