Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- It is the ardent aspiration and unanimous demand of the entire Korean nation to end the miserable history of national division, the tragic history of antagonism and confrontation that has lasted century after century and to open up the road of independent reunification, peace and prosperity, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an article.

Only when we hold the idea of By Our Nation Itself as the guidelines and thoroughly apply it to the movement of national reunification, is it possible to achieve the national reconciliation, unity and independent reunification without fail. This is the truth proved by the reality of the June 15 era of reunification, the article says, adding:

Thanks to the patriotic Songun politics of leader Kim Jong Il, a turning phase of mending the inter-Korean relations was opened and the historic June 15 era of reunification provided to open up the road of independent reunification by the concerted efforts of Koreans.

Whoever aspires after the country's reunification with national conscience should get united and advance in one and the same ranks for the country's reunification. This was the noble politics of patriotism pursued by Kim Jong Il.

Thanks to his wise leadership and warm loving care, compatriots of different social standings at home and abroad and those who committed crimes before the country and the nation in the past broke with their past wrongdoings and turned out on the road of the great national unity and the country's reunification.

The outstanding and experienced leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, who is carrying forward the idea, leadership and traits of Kim Jong Il, serves as a powerful strength for dynamically opening up the road of independent reunification, peace and prosperity by the concerted efforts of all the Koreans.
